Wow so many projects going on at one time. Pretty mean schedule to have. All the best on your road to publication. As they say, the difference between a published author and an unpublished on is that the former just never gave up.
Being able to cook, being able to make your own villager and customize their home, pets, more crops, sunflowers, customizing villagers and their homes, shed for outdoor homes to store more items, more creative slot for illustration, being able to select items in quantity not just one time. Being able to invite villagers and have a tea party or play games.
the lack of general challenge in the game really leaves me putting the game down after playing it since its release. I’ve been playing animal crossing since wild world and played new leaf to death (almost 2000 hours of gameplay) and i never finished upgrading my house! In new leaf, i loved the challenge of making my island look good, trying to get all the furniture on the island and at nooks, filling the museum and completing the shopping strip. And in past games, I found myself coming back regularly with the smaller events that would happen weekly or monthly (like the flea market in lets go to the city, anyone remember that!).
Having features like the ones you mentioned above would be incredible, but i truly think if they had held the release and put more time in the everyday/weekly game play rather than focusing on these large events in updates (similarly to what they did in Pocket Camp), I think the game would be that much more enjoyable for years to come! I have no reason to play everyday or every week now because nothing will change if I do. And of course this probably suits a lot of peoples game play, but animal crossing is one of my favorite game franchises and it was always a comfort in my life that I could play everyday or every week or month that was fun, challenging and entertaining in such a light hearted way.
Right now in Horizons, I’ve done pretty much everything. I’ve been playing reguarly to get the cherry blossom diys but even playing for sometimes 2 hours a day to get those damn balloons, I’ve only gotten one! Its frustrating that its based on this small percent of chance when its such a limited timeframe of 2 weeks. And most disappointing, I think I will have to go online and finish the diys off through other players. I think the game would be fuller if these sort of things weren’t so based on probability – especially after spending so much time to get a fricken diy and then not getting any!!!

What if a player does not want to have their character wearing a thong? Shouldn’t they have the ability to change it, or not have the design like that at all, since it needs nothing to the game? Likewise, changing it removes nothing from the game.

this is way too vague. you dont just playthrough wrath of the lich king. you would need to understand the chronological order of each of the quests and read each of the books inbetween. you cant just play this one and then play the other one. if you just try and play it like that the nightmarishly convoluted story flow will kind of defeat the purpose of all of this

I’m speaking out against the choices made by male developers on how they represented women in the game. That may not sound like a big deal, but considering the amount of trouble Blizzard is in due to male staff treating their female peers like meaningless game characters, it is.
WoW is also a teen rated game. It should not be instructing teen female players that thongs and French cut panties are standard underwear types, while guys sport boxer briefs. Likewise, armor appearance should not radically change only because of the player’s gender.
These development decisions were inappropriate and not acceptable in the changing social environment. If believing this makes me a “woke warrior.” Cool. I’ll take it. Better that than a witless caveman.

Brian thanks for writing this. I am also a single player, an older one at that, and a woman. They do exist 🤣 I also love treasure chests! The one thing I didn’t like about the old ones, was that when you fought for them, cleared the mobs, and were fighting the last one, another player would waltz in and grab the chest. It almost made me want to PVP, lol. So, in that regard, I do like that chests can be grabbed by all in Shadowlands, but it would be nice to get a surprise of better gear in them now and then. Just as it would be nice to get something great in a Christmas gift. I delete most of the gifts, as I have the max already, don’t have the pug, am tired of the wands, and candy canes, etc. I don’t do dungeons, unless I can solo them, and would love to see Blizzard do something like they do for the new starting area, where you can do the dungeon with npc assistance. I play more slowly than a lot of players do. I take my time. I want to enjoy it at my own pace. I understand that it’s an multi player game, but I don’t join groups, but will help other players when I can. I don’t join guilds, I don’t like the drama. I don’t care how many times a guild says they’re laid back, with no drama, people are people, and there will always be some. I also love looking for elites, and at least attempting to take them down, especially rare ones, but hate when they drop nothing. I truly believe there’s a really wide demographic in this game. It’s hard to please everyone. But, please don’t try to force me into dungeons, groups, raids, guilds, warfronts, PVP, etc, so that I can earn something. I’m not interested in those things. I want to play my way, at my speed, and still be able to find, and use, great gear that helps me to progress. We all pay fees to play the game, and have for many years, let us ALL choose our style of play, but don’t penalize us because we choose to play alone. I was raised to be independent, to figure things out for myself, and I don’t try to rush through everything. It’s a game, meant for enjoyment. I love WOW, I enjoy most of it, so Thank you Blizzard for that! Just my two cents.

Wrong – Gilligan sabotaged all their rescue attempts because he Loved being on the island he wanted to stay there forever with his six friends. Gilligan’s sabotage was deliberate but it was his subconscious doing the sabotaging. His conscious mind wanted very much to go back to Hawaii and Civilization but subconsciously he wanted to stay on that island it was paradise for him. He had everything he needed and each day was a new adventure for him.
A placeable jukebox item would be an excellent choice, and I’ll be surprised if someone at Blizzard hasn’t had the same idea. I could even see them tying certain tracks to achievements or quests, to make collecting more fun.
I’d just never play retail again and Blizzard would get less of my money. But why would they do that.? Unless they think enough people would pay for both and they could charge more. But that’s pretty silly.

Players don’t want more content, or bigger spaces. They just want quality of life improvements.
Let me correct myself here by saying, they probably do want these things, just no were near as much as they want QOL updates.
