Matthew Paul Spizuco is the creator behind Deep In The Keep. Matthew served in the U. S. Marine Corps, worked at a nuclear power plant, and earned a Master of Science in Geology (Vertebrate Paleontology) from the University of Pennsylvania. Now retired, he strives to live a writing life. Matthew has written fantasy and horror screenplays, placing in screenwriting contests but remaining unproduced. He started writing on the family’s 1958 Royal typewriter, which occupies a place of honor in his study. Matthew’s first novel is due in February 2026.
An old school Gen Xer, Matthew grew up on fantastic stories. New York’s Channel 9 introduced him to Godzilla, Planet of the Apes, and Them!. Chiller gave him an appreciation of horror. He saw Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back nine times the first weekend it was out. The Lord of The Rings, Dune, and Marvel comics were regular reading material. His 1980’s Dungeons & Dragons books and party sheets are treasured artifacts.
